PADINJARE GOPURAM, KOODALMANIKYAM

The Padinjare Gopuram is the western entrance of the famous Koodalmanikyam temple, which is proposed for renovation. This is the first conservation project in Irinjalakuda. Due to the temple being very ancient, the condition of the Gopuram was poor considering its stability and material finishing. The temple occasionally conducts traditional festivals making it a frequent spot for devotees all over Kerala. The revamping of the Gopuram would give the temple more aesthetic value for visitors and also in preserving traditional architecture from the past.
